How to Use Meta Muse on Your Mac When It Is Not Launched in Your Country

Meta offers the Muse Mac app as a direct download on its official download page. No App Store, no region locked listing, no second Apple ID. Download the app, connect a VPN for signup, and you are in. This guide covers the whole thing.

1. What you need first

  • A Mac.
  • A VPN app with US servers. You will need it for the signup step.
  • An email address you can verify.
  • A free invite code. Redeem it in Settings within 48 hours of joining to claim the token bonus.

2. Download the Mac app from Meta

Meta distributes the Mac app themselves as a direct download. It is not in the Mac App Store at all, so there is no region workaround and no second Apple ID needed.

  1. Go to Meta's official Muse download page at ai.meta.com/muse/download.
  2. Click Download for macOS and open the file when it finishes.
  3. Drag Muse into your Applications folder.

That is the whole install. Because the file comes straight from Meta, there is nothing shady about it. Only ever download it from that official page.

3. Sign up with a VPN and your invite code

  1. Connect your VPN to a US server.
  2. Open the Muse app and create your account.
  3. Open Settings and redeem your invite code. Codes must be redeemed within 48 hours of joining, so do this right away. Both you and the person who shared the code get bonus tokens.

Once your account is created, you can use the app from India on your normal connection. The region gate sits at signup, not at every launch.

4. Turn this setting off

Do this before anything else. Open the Muse app, go to Settings, then Data controls, and turn off Help improve our AI models. That switch controls whether Meta may use your chats to train future models.

One caution: you are using Muse from a country where it has not launched. If Meta ever reviews your account and sees the mismatch, the account can get flagged or banned. Turning this off does not hide your location, but it keeps your chats out of their training data.

5. What does not work, so you do not waste time

  • Looking for it in the Mac App Store. Meta does not list it there. The official download page is the only source.
  • Signing up without a VPN. The signup checks your location, so run it through a US server.
  • Downloading the app from a random website. Only Meta's official download page. Anything else can be malware.
  • Waiting too long to redeem your code. Redeem it in Settings within 48 hours of joining, or the bonus is gone.
The short version Download the Mac app from Meta's official page, sign up through a US VPN, redeem your invite code in Settings within 48 hours, and turn off the AI model improvement setting. After that, the app runs fine from India on your normal connection.
