Boz's months of internal Muse use

Errands & personal agent
Boz@boztank · 8 Sept

Very excited about the launch of @Muse today. I’ve been using it internally for months and I am hard pressed to think of any product that I’ve come to rely on more in such a short period of time. I have it linked to my email, calendar, and credit cards. I use it to help me plan

Investor take on Meta's Muse 1.2 progress

Business & commerce
Rihard Jarc@RihardJarc · 6 Aug

A few thoughts on the $META AI model's progress, because I think it is significant. 1. It does seem that $META has now leapfrogged $GOOGL in model quality when it comes to Muse 1.2 for many use cases, which is very surprising given the timeframe. 2. This is still the "Muse

Custom connectors Muse writes itself

Connectors & MCP
David Singleton@dps · 12 Sept

Power user @Muse feature - custom connectors 🔧. Muse has tons of connectors for popular services built in. Even better, Muse can write its own software and run it in the VM you and your Muse share in the cloud. So you can connect Muse to any service with an API. https://t.co/WMOnOWQsV4

Aside: a browser Muse, Dot, and ChatGPT can use

Connectors & MCP
Aside@AsideAI · 10 Oct

Bots meet Aside. Now your @Muse, @bot, and @ChatGPT dots can use Aside. These are easily detected as a bot and they don't know which websites you use. We are fixing that because Aside is a browser made for both humans and agents. Give your personal assistants better browsing capabilities by using Aside on your local device. Set it up in Settings > Channels.

Switch auto insurance in about five minutes

Paying bills
Joe Devoy@JosephDevoy · 10 Sept

Yesterday I uploaded my auto insurance policy to Meta @Muse and asked for a better rate with identical coverage. In ~5 minutes, it found a policy saving me $3,500 /year, bought it, and canceled my old one. I knew I was overpaying. I'd abandoned several attempts to switch because insurance websites and aggregator portals are so painful.

Find me a better priced auto insurance than my current policy (attached). I'd like to keep the coverage the same.

My personal @muse agent got me $2,120.95 already 🤯: • $300/yr — negotiated my AT&T bill down • $192 — Amazon returns I never got around to • $47 — more returns on the way • $230 — IKEA ALEX 9-drawer unit, returned end to end • $516 — vet claim filed for my dog • $836 —

Okay @Muse just pulled a rabbit out of a hat. I just had Muse call Southwest Air, wait on hold for me then it called me once a representative was there. It worked! There was real human waiting for me.

Clear an old inbox, chase a refund, book HVAC, during a nap

Work
Anand@anandragn · 26 Sept

Things my Muse agent got done while I took a nap this afternoon: 1. Cleaned up my ancient Hotmail inbox from 96% full to 60%. Went through 80K emails, deleting 20k+ old promos and newsletters with my approval, keeping a full audit log of everything. 2. Chased down a missing refund from my old internet provider. Chatted with customer support, pulled the details from my emails, and got me an exact refund date. 3. Scheduled my HVAC tune-up based on previous years maintenance history. All while I was peacefully napping. Didn't even lift a finger.

While I am away: clean my old inbox of promos and newsletters, keep an audit log, and ask before deleting. Chase the missing refund from my old internet provider until you have a date. Schedule my HVAC tune-up from last year's maintenance history. Pause before you delete mail, accept a refund, or book the appointment.

Glimmer architecture teardown

Benchmarks & research
elie@eliebakouch · 10 Aug

extremely exciting to see meta getting back into open weight models with a 30B dense first, and soon muse spark 1.2 they used knowledge distillation from muse spark, architecture wise it's similar to gemma 4 (which is llama 3 + swa (again!) + vision encoder), with scale free QK https://t.co/tgNZsHgkxU

How Glimmer fits on consumer hardware

Local & open models
AI at Meta@AIatMeta · 10 Aug

For a local agent to be practical, generation latency must be low enough to maintain workflow continuity. To run Muse Glimmer on consumer hardware without degrading quality, we used quantization to shrink the language model to under 20GB and a lightweight DFlash drafter model to https://t.co/Qg170bgNPS

Top 100 open immunology questions via Muse + Jev

Benchmarks & research
Derya Unutmaz, MD@DeryaTR_ · 18 Sept

Here is a crazy Jev @typesafeai example that I’m betting nobody has thought about: I asked @Muse from @Meta to use Jev to select the top 100 unanswered questions in immunology from 10,000 literature-grounded candidates. A few minutes later, it came back with some of the best

Dinner booking attempt at a closed restaurant

Errands & personal agent
Sheel Mohnot@pitdesi · 8 Sept

Comcast call transcript, $288 a year

I find this phone transcript from @Muse on how it negotiated $288 in annual savings for my Comcast cable bill super fascinating. Honestly, I think most companies' customer support lines are NOT ready for agents.
